ALL MOMS ARE HEROES

Mary* came to us when she was 21 weeks pregnant. She was in a horrible situation that lead her to think that having an abortion would be her best option.

Beth* became pregnant at 18 years old. She knew she wanted to keep her baby, but she had questions about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Ashley* learned that she was pregnant after a miscarriage a few months before. She was joyful but at the same time struggling with how to embrace this pregnancy while still grieving the loss of her son.

At Guiding Star Siouxland, we believe that all moms are heroes. This past year, we supported Mary*, Beth*, and Ashley* as they learned to embrace motherhood. We believe that all moms deserve care that goes above and beyond what mainstream healthcare provides. We strive to fill in the gaps for pregnant, postpartum, breastfeeding, and grieving mothers experience while breaking down barriers to receiving care.

In 2021, we served 54 pregnant women, and rejoiced at the birth of over 30 Twinkles. We supported 6 mothers as they walked the difficult road of choosing life for themselves and their unborn child. We also grieved with 6 families as they experienced the loss of a child through miscarriage or stillbirth.

Our main goal for 2022 is to re-establish ourselves in our new building so that we can continue serving women and mothers. Our services are crucial to building a culture of life as we support and educate women to understand, embrace, and love their natural bodies. Mothers in our community deserve to be told that they are heroes!

All moms are heroes!

We were given the INCREDIBLE opportunity for a $5,000 matching challenge!

Don’t let this opportunity pass by! Every donation makes a huge impact. On May 8, we will be sharing a short video – and we need your help! For every donation $5 and over, we will share a picture or video and brief description of a mother that you think is a hero.
